YACHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS
Wellington Representatives
PA WELLINGTON, Dec. 13. The Wellington Provincial Yacht and Motor Boat Association announced that the boats and crews to represent Wellington at the national yachting championships will be:— Sanders Cup Class, 14 footers, first race on January 29, 1951, at Lyttelton.— The Elusive (skipper, J. Synnott; crew, F. Foulds, E. Gregan and D. McMillan)/
Moffat Cup Class, Idlealongs, first race on January 22, 1951, at Lyttelton. —The Myth, (skipper, C. Gestro; crew. M. Gestro and E. Kitto).
Tanner Cup Class, seven footers, first race at Pleasant Point. Avon estuary, January 15, 1951. —The Shrimp skipper, Master H. Saunders).
As no crew had won three races in the recent local trials for the Cornwell Cup Class Takapunas—the first race for which will be held on January 8 at Timaru—the association decided to hold further trials.
