WATER SUPPLY
Big Drop In Storage The water stored in the reservoirs serving Dunedin dropped substantially over the week-end. There was a loss of 4,470,000 gallons in the three days up to 8 a.m. yesterday, bringing the total storage down to 121,016,000 gallons. The demand for water remained about the same as usual, but the creeks in the catchment areas showed the effects of the dry weather and wind, and the inflow to the reservoirs was smaller than in the past week. The strictest economy in the use of water is necessary. Hosing is still prohibited.
