Long Jump Champion In The Making
A 15-year-old youngster who impressed members of the Otago Track and Field Coaching Panel at Balelutha last Saturday was Victor Lloyd. This lad holds the South Otago High School records of 38ft sin in the Hop Step and Jump and 18ft 3in in the Broad Jump. After receiving coaching in technique from members of the panel young Lloyd turned on a magnificent Broad Jump of 21ft, This is a splendid performance and it looks as if a New Zealand champion of the future is in the making.
