Negotiations On Sulphide Ore Deposits >. PA AUCKLAND, Dec. 10. A statement that negotiations to offer the Electrolytic Zinc Company of Australasia, Ltd., an option over sulphide ore deposits owned by Sylvia Mines Consolidated, Ltd., in the Tararu-Puhoi-Thames area, had not reached the stage where the Electrolytic Zinc Company had taken the option was made yesterday by the Sylvia Mines consulting engineer, Mr L. R. Heywood. He said that a meeting of his company’s shareholders last week had merely approved the suggested terms for an option which he had proposed. These terms would be offered to the Electrolytic Zinc Company, but negotiations could not be completed until the latter company had considered the terms and examined the field.
