iVlotor Accident At Oamaru
Special to the Daily Times OAMARU, Dec. 10.
Albert Varney, a single man, of Dunedin, suffered head injuries necessitating his admittance to the Oamaru Public Hospital when the car he was driving struck a bank leading. down to the Deborah subway at 9.45 p.m on Saturday. Varney was travelling north when a front tyre blew out throwing the car to the side of the road. After the car hit the bank, it slewed down the road for about 68 feet, hit a concrete pillar under the subway and came to rest on the road. The car was extensively damaged.
