AWAMOA PARK PAVILION
Specifications To Be Drawn Regret that tenders had not yet been called for the proposed pavilion at Awamoa Park was expressed in a letter from the North Otago Sports Bodies’ Association received at the monthly meeting of the Oamaru Borough Council last night. As had been stated in previous correspondence. until amenities were provided the park was unsuitable for the playing of organised sport. The Mayor, Mr M. F. E. Cooney, said plans had been drawn, but specifications had not vet been prepared. It was doubtful if they could be drawn up before Christmas. It was decided to request the architect to draw up specifications and call tenders.
