CHINESE REDS NEARING TIBETAN CAPITAL
NZPA—Copyright LONDON. Nov. 6. Reuter’s Kilmpong correspondent reports that advance units of the Chinese 2nd Field Division and the Tibetan “People’s Troops” have reached Reting, 60 miles north-east of the Tibetan capital, Lhasa. The Communist entry into Lhasa is expected in 72 hours. A British Foreign Office spokesman today said that Britain had no official confirmation that flwo Britons, identified as Jeffrey Bull and Robert Ford, had been captured by Chinese troops in Tibet. Mr Bull is a Scottish missionary and Mr Ford a wireless operator formerly employed by the Tibetan Government.
