SONG OF THE CHIMES
Sir,—l have read with interest your remarks re the chimes of the Dunedin Town Hall clock. I wonder if all those people who listen in to Big Ben’s chimes, especially on Sunday evening, know the words that are set to its chimes. These are they: Lord in this hour (quarter-hour). Be Thou our Guide (half-hour): Kept by Thy power (three-quarter-hour) No foot shall slide (one hour). I am, etc., Flora Swan. Waiwera South.
