FIVE PRINTING FIRMS

Third Volume Of Churchill Memoirs Resident Correspondent LONDON, May 5. The biggest printing job since the war is now occupying practically all the resources of five printing houses and a binding firm. The book is Mr Churchill’s third volume of his war reminiscences, “The Grand Alliance,” which the Otago Daily Times published in serial form recently. Nearly 300,000 copies are being printed—many more than the initial print of “ Their Finest Hour —and the publishers hope, that this will at least satisfy the first rush. Mr Churchill first writes his draft, often revising it many times, and then has it printed by his private printer in big type. He then corrects these proofs and sends them to his publisher for the final book.
