Bishop Of Kobe To Visit Oamaru

The Right Rev. Michael Yashiro, the Bishop of Kobe, Japan, will visit Oamaru on May 24 and will speak at a public meeting in St. Luke’s Parish Hall in the evening. The bishop will be one of the principal speakers’at the Christchurch Centennial Church Congress, to be held shortly in Christchurch. His subjects at the congress are “ God, Man, and Marx,” and “ Christ and the Pacific.” After the war the Archbishop of New Zealand Dr Campbell West-Watson, visited Japan to preside at the synod to reconstruct church life.
