SUB-UNION FOOTBALL
On Saturday an interesting game of football in the sub-union competition was played when Duntroon beat last year’s cup winners, Otekaike, by 9 points to 6. Plaved at Otekaike, the game developed into a forward struggle, with Duntroon giving an improved exhibition. At half time Otekaike held a 6—nil lead, R. Gard kicking two goals from penalties. In the second half T. Johnson scored for Duntroon, and shortly afterwards M. Fridd went across. Duntroon’s winning points came from a goal from a penalty by G. Johnson. T. Johnson was the outstanding back on the field, while the Sutherland brothers capably led the Duntroon forwards.
