ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
At Takaro Park on Saturday Awamoa beat Eveline in the senior Association football match by 4 goals to 3. Conditions were unpleasant, and the wet ball was hard to control, but both sides made every effort to play open football. Miles scored three goals for Awamoa. Eveline was without the services of three of its senior players, and could not settle down. The second half produced some good Soccer, both sides staging .some bright passing movements. Lowen, Miles. Sparrowboon, and Chalmers played well for Awamoa, while Neill, Devon Tomlinson, Herd, fieselgrave. and Manson were prominent for Eveline.
