Shirley Harvey (left) and Valmai Hamilton, who both passed the Solo Seal at the Royal Academy of Dancing examinations last week. This was the first time that the examinations had been taken in Dunedin, and is the highest held by the Royal Academy of Dancing. Both the girls, who live in Invercargill, were trained in Dunedin by Miss Lily Stevens.
