Belgian Mine Disaster
N ZP A—Copyright BRUSSELS, May 11. Fourteen miners were killed, four were seriously injured, and 18 are still trapped in Belgium’s worst mining disaster since 1932, states the Associated Press. Thirty-six men were working a coal seam at Trazegnies, when a fire damp explosion ripped through the mine.
