Archbishop Calls For Armed Resistance To Russian Aggression
NZPA—Copyright Rec. 11 p.m. LONDON, May 12. A call for armed resistance to Russian aggression was made by the Archbishop of York, Dr Cyril Garbett, when he spoke on the world crisis in Guernsey last night. “Another war will come unless the freedom-loving countries make it
quite plain that if need be they will resist Marxian aggression by force,” he said. “ If 1 any weakness is shown by the democracies Russia will strike. She is less likely to strike if various Western countries make it plain that they are prepared to resist.”
