RETIREMENT ANNOUNCED
Mr W. Cecil Prime
PA WELLINGTON, May 12. Mr W. Cecil Prime, who has represented the employers on the Court of Arbitration for 20 years, has announced his retirement. The secretary of the New Zealand Employers Federation, Mr C. G. Camp, said today that he had received advice from Mr Prime of his wish to retire. Steps would be taken to arrange for the nomination of his successor.
A recent Gazette notice fixed June 8 as the date for the making of nominations for the position of nominated member and acting nominated member of the court representing unions of employers and workers respectively. Mr Prime, before he became a member of the court, was for some time secretary of the Hawke’s Bay Employers’ Association and later of the Canterbury Employers’ Association.-
