MICE ON THE RAILS

Sir, —I was very interested and, to. say the least, amused at the cartoon In this morning’s Daily Times in reference to the mass meeting of 1100 workers which took place in the Hillside Workshops. It seems rather significant that your cartoonist should choose to depict the Hillside workers as " three mice on the railway track.” I. wonder does your cartoonist remember the old story of our school days, when the mouse gnawed at the rope and let the lion loose. Those “ three mice ” are gnawing at a rope again today, and I wonder if your cartoonist realises what will happen if they let the lion loose again. Perhaps he understands what I mean.—l. am, etc., I Wonder.
