COMMUNITY SING
The Mayor, Sir Donald Cameron, will officially open the 1950 community sing season on Friday at the St. James Theatre ac noon. The British Rugby team has accepted an. invitation to attend and should provide a bright interlude. They will be the first British Rugby team to attend the sing. Hundreds of letters of thanks from poor and aged recipients of parcels of food have been received by the committee, and it has decided to appeal again for food for Britain. Mr J. F. Himburg will act as leader during Mr H. P. Desmoulins’s absence, and Mr A. Pettitt will be at the piano.
