MANY DEFECTS FOUND
Vehicle Lighting Check
PA WELLINGTON, May 11. The lights of 2034 vehicles were checked by the Transport Department in the first week of its lighting check. Of these, 503 had faults of some kind, and traffic offence notices were issued to 193. Officers found 148 vehicles with headlights incorrectly adjusted, 86 with headlights incorrectly focused, 129 with no tail lamp, and 140 with other lighting faults.
