NEW APPLE STORE
Marketing Division BUILDING AT LOGAN’S POINT An apple assembly shed for the Internal Marketing Division in Dunedin is to be built off Anzac avenue, Logan’s Point. Tenders for the building have been called by the Ministry of works. The shed, which will be of reinforced concrete with an asbestos cement roof, will have an area of approximately 9000 square feet. This building has been planned for some time, but the calling of tenders yesterday marks the first real step towards its erection. The Internal Marketing Division is the agent of the Apple and Pear Marketing Board. Whereas it used to be the principal authority in the marketing of apples and pears, the division now carries out the instructions of the board. One of the difficulties experienced in the past by the division in Dunedin has been the lack of storage space: now it will soon, have a store for apples at Logan’s Point.
