Activities On The Taieri After the final meeting of the Taieri sub-branch of the Plunket Society, officers of the new branch were appointed as follows:—President, Mrs W. Ewart; vice-presidents, Mesdames A. Didham and Peat; secretary. Mrs J. Strong; treasurer, Mrs W. Campbell. These five, together with Mrs J. Treloar, comprise the new Executive Committee; committee —Mesdames Barnes, Dickie. Graham, Bird, Cumberbeach, Kirkness, McAllister, Muirhead. McLean, Orange, Phillips. Remsay, Stodart, Thomson, Watt, Wishart and Thorn: Advisory Board—Messrs Fairmaid, Boyd and Rodgers; auditor, Mr T. G. Bovd. At the monthly meeting the Executive Committee and delegates from the subbranches received reports of the progress of a bring-and-buy sale at Green Island and a shop day at Outram to be held for the car fund. The committee entertained ex-members at an enjoyable evening held in the Fire Brigade Hall. A spray was presented to Mrs Spedding, one of the pioneer members of the Sub-branch Committee, who has given service since 1922. presentation was also made to Mrs J. Wishart, who has retired from the position of treasurer after serving in that capacity for 12 years. During supper ex-members told of amusing incidents which had occurred during their terms of office.
