HITLER STILL ALIVE
Pro-Nazi Journal's Claim LIVING IN TIBETAN MONASTERY N ZP A—Copyright LONDON, May 9. The United Press correspondent at Berlin says a rumour that Hitler is still alive flashed through Frankfurt today. A pro-Nazi publication, Tempo De Welt, commemorated the anniversary of Germany’s surrender with a purported interview with Martin Bormann, the missing man to whom Hitler bequeathed the Nazi Party leadership. The interview, written by the magazine’s chief editor, Karl Kaerner, claims that Bormann told Kaerner, “ Hitler lives.” Kaerner, who describes himself as Bormann’s wartime personal pilot, claimed to have met Bormann in Spanish Morocco on July 14, 1949. He quotes Bormann as saying that “ Hitler is alive in a Tibetan monastery—and not alone. Many have succeeded in getting there. Hitler and I are working for the same aim. We shall not give up the fight as long as we live. If we die others will take our place. We are not alone. “All over the world revolution is building up. One day it will break out everywhere. Democracy—and time —are the factors working for us today. They give Germany a toy—democracy. Germany is playing with it. She will play with it until she gets tired. Then our time will come, exactly. as in 1933. I think the time has come to inform the world that we are still alive. There is no necessity for us to play hide and seek any more. The world should know that one day the Nazis will be back.” The magazine sold out at once.
