ADMISSIONS TO EMPIRE GAMES
PA AUCKLAND, May 9. A total pf 246,694 people paid for attendance to the British Empire Games in Auckland in February. The gross receipts for for attendance amounted to £89,350. These figures are shown in a statement of paid attendances and gate receipts. Of the total receipts. £67,814 was sold in advance and £21,535 was taken at the gates. The athletic events at Eden Park were by far the most popular, 123,692 people attending on the four days of the events. They paid £45,897 for admission.
