Pope’s Second Canonisation In Holy Year
Rec. 7 p.m. VATICAN CITY, May t Seventy thousand pilgrims and Italians today packed St. Peter's Basilica and the square to hear Pius XII proclaim the sanctity of Antonia Maria Claret —the Pope’s second canonisation in the holy year. Claret, born in 1807 near Barcelona, rose from a weaver to archbishop and confessor to the Queen of Spain.
