SUPREME COURT
In the Supreme Court before Mr Justice Kennedy and a jury Stanley David Dunsmuir was found guilty on a charge of attempted indecent assault on a male. Mr J. B. Deaker appeared for the Crown, and Mr G. T. Bavlee. instructed by Mr C J L. White, appeared for Dunsmuir,
who sas remanded for sentence. William Trow Currie, represented by Mr C. J. L. White, pleaded guilty to' a charge of unlawful carnal knowledge. He was remanded for sentence. The Post Office stores branch in Wellington keeps a large stock of sub-
marine cable in special tanks. The water in these tanks is kept at an even
temperature all the year to preserve insulation. One thousand yards of this cable were recently sent to Invercargill for the repair of the Stewart Island cable.
