HOCKEY ASSOCIATION MEETING
Manager Of Otago Team Appointed
At last night’s meeting of the Management Committee of the Otago Hockey Association, Mr H. Perrin was appointed manager of the Otago team to play Canterbury at Oamaru on May 20. Mr A. Hamilton was appointed to accompany the team as umpire. It was decided that entries for the First and Second Grade seven-a-side tournaments should close on May 22. It was probable that teams from Southland, Gore, North Otago and South Canterbury would participate in the tournaments. Mr H. Perrin was appointed supervisor of the tournaments. It was decided that all matches would be played on the mornings of May 20 and- 27, the first matches beginning at 9.30.
It was resolved that a fund be established by the association to assist with the travelling expenses of representative players.
