Winter Show Space
All space in the Brydone Hall for the Dunedin Winter Show, from June 2 to 7 next, was booked out when applications for space closed with the secretary of the Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Society, Mr R. D. Stewart, yesterday. Farm machinery and motor firms have booked the entire space downstairs in the hall, and manufacturers have booked every square inch of space available upstairs. “ We cannot accept any more applications for space,” Mr Stewart told the Daily Times yesterday. The Fanciers Club bird and dog shows will be held in Dalzetv’s No. 2 store as usual in conjunction with the Winter Show, and the store will this year, for the first time, also take some of the ordinary Winter Show sections.” The exceptional demand for space at the Winter Show this year is considered to be a barometer of trading conffitMns in that it reflects the trend from a seller’s to a buyer’s market.
