BRILLIANT GOLF
St. Clair Player A. R. TIMMS SCORES 68 Playing superb shots, the St. <3lair Golf Club champion, A. It. Timms, broke his home course record by shooting a 68 on Sunday afternoon, when conditions were excellent. Timms, who was playing with his father, A. E. Timms, and A. B. Jones, was taking part in an unofficial Stableford competition—which he won with 42 points —and it is likely that C. B. Wight’s score of 69 will remain the official course record. In memory, Timms’s round has been equalled by two players—A. J. Shaw, while he was professional at the club, and L. C. Brown, of Balmacewen, whose score was carded under lift-and-place rules. Timms’s golf on Sunday was almost faultless. Only at one hole (the twelfth) was he over bogey, and his card included six birdies. His score was:— Out Timms: 4,4, 5,5, 3,4, 3,3, 4—35 Bogey: 4,4, 5,5, 3,4, 4,3, 4—36 In Timms: 5,2, 5,4, 3,3, 5,3, 3 —33 Bogey: 5,3, 4,5, 4,4, 5,3, 4—37
