THREE INJURED

Car Driven Over Sea Wall PENINSULA HIGHWAY Three men were injured when the driver of a car was dazzled by headlights and drove over the sea wall on the Peninsula highway into two feet of water about 11,15 on Saturday night The accident occurred after the car had left Portobello and was about four miles from Dunedin. The driver was unconscious when taken from the wrecked car in the water, and resuscitation measures were necessary. ,He was Alister John Smith, aged 34, of 19 Morrison street, Macsndrew Bay; and he suffered a lacerated face and shock. With his two passengers, Smith was admitted to hospital, and all are reported to be in a satisfactory condition. The two passengers were Robert William Maitland Bain, aged 19,- of 45 Cavell street, Tainui, and Louis Vik, aged 22, of 15 Elgin road, Mornington. Bain was admitted with lacerations to an arm, head injuries, and shock, while Vik suffered head injuries and shock.
