THREE RECORDS

Swimming Championships CITY PRIMARY SCHOOLS Three records were broken last night, the final night of the Otago State Primary Schools’ annual swimming contest. In the 33 1-3 Yards Breaststroke event, for under 13, B. Caird, of Musselburgh, swam the distance in 27sec, and in the 25 Yards Breaststroke Championship for boys under 11, D. Mauger, of Arthur Street, lowered the record with his time of 21 3-ssec. C. Reid, of Musselburgh, put up a new record of Bsec for the Boys’ 14 Yards Freestyle distance for those under 10 years. There were about 450 children taking part in the contest, which began on Thursday night.
