WATCHING HORSE RACING
‘‘We do not want to see the youth of our city watching horse racing in their leisure hours,” said Mr J. D. Gregg, when commenting at the annual meeting of the Southland Hockey Association on the difference in the amount of publicity given to this sport in comparison with others by the newspapers and on radio broadcasts. He added that the question of a beneficial nature might well be considered by the Council of Sport.
