ALL ASSOCIATIONS AUSTRALIAN CRICKET TOUR Advice that ail the profits of the Australian team’s tour will be pooled and distributed to all associations was received at a meeting of the committee of the Otago Cricket Association last night. Major associations have also been asked by the New Zealand Cricket Council to contrql their respective games with the visitors on the council’s behalf. After reporting on the three Plunket Shield matches, the manager of the Otago team, Mr A. N. Lawson, asked that the Wellington side be congratulated on winning the shie)d. The manager of the Brabin Shield team, Mr W J. Braithwaite, also ’ reported on the New Zealand tournament. A feature of this series had been the performances of some of the schoolboys in the Otago team. As very few secondary schoolboys are available for coaching during the holidays it was decided to operate a modified scheme for the next few weeks. Plans for coaching country players were also reported to be in hand.
