The following are the main countries concerned, and the new postage rates, with the old rates shown in parentheses:— Air Mail Services For letters forwarded by PanAmerican service: Canada and United States, 2s (Is 6d); West Indies, Mexico, Panama, etc., 2s 6d (2s); Ecuador, British Guiana, etc., 3s (2s 6d); Argentina, Uruguay, etc., 3s 6d (2s 6d). Air letter-cards by PAA service for all destinations, 8d (6d). For letters by transmission by British Commonwealth Pacific Air Lines service: Canada, United States, West Indies, Panama, British Guiana, etc., no change.; Argentina, Uruguay, etc., 2s 9d (2s 3d). Parcel Post Services Parcel post rates to the United States, which now amount to 7d per lb for parcels conveyed in vessels for discharge at a United States port or 9d a lb when routed via Canada, are increased to 9d and Is per lb respectively.
