Auckland Team Arrives
The Auckland Plunket Shield cricket team which will commence its match against Otago at Carisbrook tomorrow- morning arrived m Dunedin by the first express from the north yesterday afternoon and was met by officials of the Otago Cricket Association. . • . , The team, which is staying at Wains Hotel, comprises V. J. Scott captain), J. Hardstaff, J. Blane, O. C. Cleal, J. Hollywood, D. D. Coleman, K. Dollery, B Donaldson, F. E. Hemmingson, L. A. Kent, D. L. Perry and J. P. Marsdon. The final choice of the eleven for tomorrow has not yet been made. The manager of the visiting side is Mr E. R. Sutherland, and also accompanying the party is Mr H. T. Pearson, a former Auckland captain, who made 107 against Otago in the shield game at Carisbrook four years ago. Several members of the Otago team returned to Dunedin on Wednesday night and the remainder of the side arrived by relief express yesterday. The Otago team will practise at Carisbrook this afternoon. The umpires for tomorrow’s match are Messrs P. Thompson and S. Tomkinson.
