WATER POLO CHAMPIONSHIP OTAGO IN THIRD PLACE PA WELLINGTON, Dec. 28. Canterbury were winners of the shield at the New Zealand Water Polo championships, concluded at Lower Hutt today. Results: — Canterbury 14, Wellington 7. Waikato 4, Taranaki 3. Auckland 7, Otago 5. Points were Canterbury 10, Auckland 8, Otago 3, Waikato 4, Wellington 2. The team for the Empire Games is:—Goal-keeper J. Walsh (Auckland), P. W. Harris (Canterbury), T. Logan (Taranaki), W. F. Williams (Otago), C. Brown (Auckland, J. Cameron (Canterbury), R. Hatchwell (Canterbury), C. N. Williams (Otago), B. Hutchinson (Auckland), P. Raven (Auckland).
