Cunard White Star Is Planning Liner Bigger Than Queen Elizabeth
NZPA—Copyright Rec. 9 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 28. The Cunard White Star’s naval architect has been asked to prepare designs for an express liner bigger than the Queen Elizabeth (83,673 tons) to augment its transAtlantic fleet. Details of the ship’s size, motive power, and distinctive features will not be disclosed for a considerable time, but .an announcement that the ship has been ordered may be expected early next year.
