Tournament Concluded The North Otago Lawn Tennis Association’s Christmas tournament was completed at Oamaru yesterday afternoon under overcast but fine conditions. In the final of the Men’s Championship Singles, M. Hendy (Waimate) beat O. E. Laney (Oamaru) 2—6, 9—7, 6—3, and not as stated yesterday. Results were:— The following trophies were presented by Mr W. J. Giffin in the absence of the president:—Otago Daily Times Cup (Men’s Singles Championship), M. Hendy; Cottrell Cup (Men’s Doubles Championship), W. P. McLaughlan and C, A. Minifie; Burton Cup (Women's Singles Championship), Miss C. M. Neave. At the conclusion of the presentation, Mr W. P. McLaughlan congratulated the association on the way the tournament had been conducted. Championships Men’s Doubles.—Final: McLaughlan and Minifie beat Ogg and Gray 6—3, 2—6, 7—5. Girls’ Singles.—Final: Miss Neill beat Miss Gribben 7—5, 9—7. Women’s Doubles. Semi-final: Mrs Kennedy and Miss Faulkner beat Misses Sim and Williams. Final: Misses Pyle and Neave beat Mrs Kennedy and Miss Faulkner 6—2. Handicaps Men’s Singles.—Final: P. McKenzie beat B. Codings 9—3. Men’s Doubles. —Final: Brown and Heath beat Hal] and Pheloung 9—3. Boys’ Singles.—Final: Heath beat Carter 9—2. Mixed Doubles.—Third round: Hoskin and Miss Lawrie beat Hefron and Mrs Kennedy 9 — 7. Semi-final: Minifie and Miss Faulkner beat Hendy and Miss Pyle 9-5. Semi-final: Heenan and Miss Gribben beat Hoskin and Miss Lawrie 9—B. Final: Heenan and Miss Gribben beat Minifie and Miss Faulkner 9—4.
