MR W. J. BENNETT

RETIREMENT FROM TEACHING PROFESSION Mr W. J. Bennett, formerly assistant at Mornington and Forbury and headmaster at Winton. has retired from the teaching profession, having spent the past six years in charge of the Pleasant Point District High School. At a concert recently Mr and Mrs Bennett were presented with a cheque by Mr D. C. Kiaq, M.P.. who referred to their fine work m the community. The part-singing of Mr Bennett s choirs, the stimulus to agricultural education through the publication of an arithmetic book on farm problems, and his enthusiasm for athletic sports had been outstanding features in Mr Bennetts career, he said.
