CREATION OF PAKISTAN
Agreement Denounced By , Hindu Body Repudiation Demanded NZPA—Copyright , NEW DELHI, Dec. 26. The All-India Hindu Mahasabha (Conservative organisation), at its annual conference today, demanded the “ repudiation 'of the agreement entered into by the Indian National Congress, the Moslem League and the British Government by which Pakistan was created.” The Mahasabha called on Congress to “take immediate steps to restore the ceded areas” to a united India. The resolution added that the people of India “ never supported the formation of Pakistan. No other party excepting Congress ever agreed to the suicidal vivisection of a country by which important strategic areas of this sacred land were converted into the alien, hostile and independent State of Pakistan.”
The Mahasabha is essentially Communalist. It believes in Hindu predominance. with the Moslems a subservient minority. During the fierce rioting which preceded and followed the division of India and Pakistan, the Mahasabha announced bitter opposition to Congress’s concessions to Moslems, -v
