AIR TRAGEDIES IN NORTH AMERICA FIVE AIRCRAFT INVOLVED NZPA—Copyright Rec 9 p.m. NEW YORK, Dec. 23. An air force bomber crashed into a rice paddy near Savannah, Georgia, last night, killing ail 11 of the crew. The aeroplane was observed in flames in the air before the crash. Rescue squads found the plane buried in mire, with flames shooting hundreds of feet into the air. The machine was a lourengined 850 on a training flight from Georgia to Texas. The wreckage of two private planes which had been missing for several days was found today. The bodies of three construction engineers were found in the wreckage of one plane which crashed near McKinney, Texas. The second private plane was found wrecked in snow-covered hills near St. George, Utah. The pilot’s body was found nearby. Another private plane crashed near Atoka, Oklahoma, on Wednesday, killing the pilot. . A Queen Charlotte Airlines flying boat crashed while landing at Belize inlet, on Vancouver Island, yesterday, killing two persons and injuring five. Only seven were on board the plane.
