RIVER REPORTS
The Mlmihau, Wyndham, Mataura, Fomahaka, and Catlins Rivers are all clear and in perfect order for fly fishing. The Owaka River is slightly below normal level, but should still be in reasonably good order. The Waipahi and Shag Rivers are both very low, and in the case of the Shag River the best fishing will still be around the tidal waters. . . Mahinerangl dam is producing some good fishing, and the level is now fairly steady. Fish are reported to nave been taking the worm and minnow at places with a gravelly bottom, and have been rising quite well to the fly on the bush side.
