RETURN TO DUNEDIN
CITY ELECTRICAL ENGINEER VISIT TO CONTINENT The city electrical engineer, Mr G. T. Edgar, who has been in the United Kingdom, Sweden and Norway making arrangements for the purchase of transformers and other equipment for the building of the Nos. 3 and 4 sub-stations at the City Corporation’s
hydro-electric power station at Waipori, has advised the Deputy Mayor, Cr Wright, that he hopes to leave on his return to New Zealand on November 24. Cr Wright told the Daily Times last night that Mr Edgar had expected to return to Dunedin a month earlier, but his departure from London was delayed so that he could complete the purchase of the equipment before he left.
Mr Edgar conferred with the count cil’s agents in London, Messrs Preece. Cardew and Rider, on the purchase of the equipment.
