Stocks in store are on the low side, but the demand is very slow Oats.—With the exception of an odd order for Duns and Algerians, there has been very little inquiry from the North Island. It does not appear at the moment that there will be any export demand. The demand for seed is practically finished, as it is getting on the late side for sowing. Chaff. —One or two lines have been on offer, but the quality has not come up to the standard of good bright oaten sheaf, and lower prices have had to be accepted. " Seeds. —With the exception of the Government tender which came out this week for Palmerston North, there has been very little outside inquiry for seeds.
