Early Potatoes On Taieri Growing Well
Crops of early potatoes on the Taieri are growing well. They have not had too jnuch rain and there have been no frosts of sufficient severity to cause any damage. Applications closed recently at offices of the Department of Agriculture for the certification of potatoes this year. About the same number of applications as last year have been received in Otago, but there has been a marked decrease in the applications in Southland.
