Additional Blooms
Although visitors to Central Otago at present naturally expect the orchards to be snow-washed with blossom, Miller’s Flat ofTers additional splashes of colour which cause many passers-by to stop. The colour comes from hundreds of tulips which are grown commercially in three or four properties beside the main road. The earlier hyacinth crop is hearly finished and the growers do not consider that the tulips will be at their peak for another week 'or .two, but already there are ample blooms to make the tulip gardens vivid and arresting.
