Roxburgh Gorge Township
Tenders closed yesterday with the Department of Housing Construction for the erection of 100 houses at Roxburgh Gorge. This is the first “ baten ” of probably 600 or 700 houses and many other buildings that will be erected there to form a fairly large township for the workers and their families close to the big hydro-electric power project. Tflfe houses will be prefabricated four-roomed semipermanent cottages, |so designed that they can be removed, when the hydro works ' are eventually completed, and transported to wherever else they may be required.
