LITTLE EFFECT
Conservatives’ Election Prospects Any Change Of Leadership Rec. 11 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 13. The - removal of Mr Winston Churchill from the leadership of the Conservative Party would have little effect upon the election prospects of the Conservatives, according to a public opinion survey, the results of which are published to-day by the London News Chronicle. Ten per cent, of those questioned said that Mr Churchill's removal would make them less inclined to vote Conservative and 10 per cent, said that it would make them more inclined. Among the Conservatives, 10 per cent, said they favoured a change of leadership and 12 per cent, said they were against it. Fifty-two per cent, of all those questioned said a change would have no effect and 21 per cent, said they would not vote Conservative anyway. Seventy-four per cent, of the Conservatives said a change m leadership would have no effect.
