Balclutha Winners In Nurses’ Drama Festival
Nurses from Oamaru. Balclutha, Dunedin and Southland presented one-act plays at their annual arama festival held in Invercargill last Wednesday. The judge was Mr Lester Moller, of Invercargill. The winning play was presented by the
Balclutha group, who gave A Room in the Tower." This play was i produced by Mrs W. L Dodds, of Balclutha, and the cast were Frances GUI, R uth Blomfield, Lilian McGimpsey and Elspeth Waiting,” given by the Dunedin group, was awarded second Place in the contest. Mrs Grace Doughs wos the producer, and the cast were Ruth Elliffe, Lorraine Dore, Alva Steward Jean Dugued, Norah Steepe Mary Stamland and Elsie Keyes.
