Miss Marjorie Gillman, Heriot row, has returned to Auckland.

Mr and Mrs J. P. Cartwright, Elm row, left Dunedin on Saturday on an extended visit to Australia.

Mrs John Baker,, of Geraldine, and Mrs N, Skeat, of Ashburton, are the guests of Mrs Arthur Ivory. Dr C. H. Tait and Mrs Tait left yesterday to attend the Dental Conference in Christchurch.

Dr J. P. Walsh and Mrs Walsh are visiting Christchurch for the Dental Conference.

Mr and, Mrs C. R. Shaw Thompson left yesterday to attend the Dental Conference.

Mrs J. Trotter, Moa Flat, and Miss M. Keast, Middlemarch, who have been spending a \ holiday at Lincoln, have returned home.

The Avonside Girls’ High School Old Girls' Association held a meeting last Wednesday night at the home of Mrs R Rudkin, St. Clair.

Archdeacon L. G. Whitehead welcomed students of Selwyn College and guests at a sherry party at the college before the annual dance, which took place in Allen Hall on Friday night. For to-night’s meeting of the Overseas League a film evening has been arranged. Music will be provided by Miss Bertha Rawlinson.

Although all the tickets for afternoon tea for Mrs Maider's annual concert-tea in aid of lepers, on Thursday, have been sold the gallery Will be open for those people who wish to hear the concert.
