Mr Davidson said that this was a difficult time of the year to secure apprentices and the board might receive applications of the positions were advertised again later in the year. Special apparatus had been erected at Ardgowan for further tests on two-way radio reception. Supplies of refrigerators and washing machines were practically negligible, and transport of the latter from the manufacturers in Auckland was very slow.
